Distillery Tours with Prinz's Master Distillers
Distilling isn't easy! It is a long and difficult journey to achieve high-quality schnapps. Our knowledge, experience, skill and love for the fruit have been passed down through the generations, which is why our products are so successful.
While our great-grandfather fired the stills with wood to heat the mash, today, we bring them up to temperature with steam. In addition, we can bring our stills to negative pressure, which means that the boiling point is lowered by means of vacuum firing. With this method, we can further enhance the fruit aromas as well as protect the environment.
In fact, there are many processes that we have developed ourselves, all of which are designed to help the master distillers maintain optimal conditions for the distillates during fine distillation. This is how we ensure an incomparable quality of the highest order.
The fine distillation process takes a lot of time and patience. But it takes even longer for the distillates to reach their maximum maturity for enjoyment. Depending on the variety and flavour, this maturation takes place in stainless steel tanks, glass balloons, earthenware vessels or wooden barrels of various sizes.
We are always keen to experience the first results of the maturation process and – of course – eagerly anticipate the finished product. We would be happy to take you on a guided tour through the enjoyable world of schnapps distilling.
