For our Gamsblut Sloe Liqueurs, we process fresh sloe berries that are harvested after the first frost. The cold shock causes the tannins in the pulp to break down – as a result, the sloe tastes pleasantly tart and can be pressed into a delicious juice. We mix the sloe juice with our intensively fruity wild berry distillate to make the Original Gamsblut Sloe Liqueur. The Winter Edition is then seasoned with Christmassy ingredients such as cinnamon and ginger distillate.
