Name origin / legend:
Blending of the finest berries and herbs to brandy strength.

Brandies have more than 55% vol, which means that all aroma components remain dissolved in the alcohol, so aroma-reducing filtration is unnecessary.

Forest berries from the Bregenzerwald region and meadow herbs from the surrounding Alps.

The berries are selected and sorted by our experienced employees.

The diverse meadow herbs from different seasons, which cover a wide spectrum of aromas, are dried in the sun and then stored until ready for processing.

Enjoyment recommendation:
In brandy glasses.
At a room temperature of 18 to 21°C.
After a good meal, with a snack or during a sociable gathering at the edge of the forest.

Process:
The freshly collected berries are crushed and double-distilled after alcohol fermentation.

The dried meadow herbs are put into our fruit brandy. After sensory evaluation by the master distiller, it is distilled after 3-5 days.

The berries and the herb distillates are blended after storage.

Distillation according to the rigorous Hafele brandy process guarantees the highest quality and greatest enjoyment.

In order to lower the distillation temperature and preserve aromas, we have been distilling under vacuum since 2004.

Characteristics / drinking suggestions:
At first, fully ripe raspberries hit the nose, followed by an aromatic mixture of meadow herbs with a bright, balmy aroma.

Supported by the finest fruit brandy, with  oaky, almost resinous notes, embraced by the depth of dark berries, hints of mint and lemon are awakened. Accompanied by the scent of flowers, a full-bodied, roasted hazelnut flavour reaches the palate.

The different components combine over time and merge their character into a great whole.
