Making the finest Creams & Eggnogs requires skilled craftsmanship and the best ingredients from nature. The result is delicately creamy liqueurs that will delight your palate and make a wonderful dessert ingredient. We make Austrian Creams & Eggnogs the old-fashioned way. Learn more here »
All traditional recipes for eggnog liqueurs contain egg, milk and alcohol. To make them, we use only the best free-range hen's eggs, our own distillates and sustainably produced hay milk from Austrian farmers. The special thing about hay milk is that the cows eat only grass, herbs and grain meal – they are not given any fermented feed additives. That's why this high-quality milk tastes so good and contains valuable omega-3 fatty acids.
Depending on the specific liqueur, other regional ingredients are added. These might include local bee honey, fresh yoghurt or our in-house roasted hazelnuts. When it comes to imported ingredients such as bourbon-vanilla, or cinnamon, we pay close attention to the quality and process the ingredients ourselves.
Why Prinz Creams & Eggnogs taste so
creamy
All eggs are carefully checked before processing. Then we slowly mix the golden yolks with alcohol, hay milk and other ingredients. This process enhances the creamy consistency of the liqueur.

What you always wanted to know about Eggnog Liqueur and Cream Liqueur
Who invented eggnog liqueur?
In the 14th century, British monks invented the first recipes for eggnog liqueur: they mixed fresh eggs and milk with alcohol to make a tasty drink. Prinz Distillery has developed the traditional eggnog recipe further to produce the finest Eggnogs and sophisticated Creams.
How much egg yolk does Prinz Eggnog Liqueur contain?
One litre of Prinz Eggnog Liqueur contains over 140 g of egg yolk. Depending on the size of the egg, this corresponds to 7-9 yolks.
What is the difference between Prinz Eggnog Liqueurs and Cream Liqueurs?
Cream Liqueur contains fewer egg yolks than our classic Eggnog Liqueur. Instead, depending on the recipe, we stir in more premium hay milk or yoghurt.
What is the shelf life of Prinz's Eggnog Liqueur?
Thanks to a alcohol content of 15 %, Prinz Eggnog Liqueurs can be kept unopened for several years. Sunlight and heat can have a detrimental effect on the taste so – as soon as you open an Eggnog Liqueur bottle – you should store it, sealed, in the refrigerator and use it within a few months.
